A very English disaster

A wonderful post over here (reproduced from a recent Evening Standard article) about how awful it really is for the upper-middle classes when nature gets stroppy. She even had fragments of glass on her leather sofa -- someone call in a United Nations taskforce straight away!

The fox lives!

The Intrepid Fox has finally found a new home -- it's in the old Conservatory bar buildings on St. Giles High Street -- in the shadow of the Centrepoint building. Haven't been in properly yet but I put my head round the door the other day and it looks like it could be just as good as the old Fox. No gargoyle over the entrance yet (perhaps they have to get planning permission) but there's a fair few bits and pieces transferred from the old Wardour Street site, once it's had a few months to gain a bit of atmosphere it should be rockin'!

Long live rock 'n' fuckin' roll :-)

Eyes front

New Scientist reports that:

Car giant Honda is patenting a scheme that would let drivers see traffic conditions on the road ahead with their own eyes.

Astonishing, eh? Can't wait to see what those cunning boffins come up with next week!
